Sonali Singh is an assistant professor of political science at Jai Prakash University in Chapra (Bihar), India. She received a Ph.D. in political science in 2018 from Banaras Hindu University in Varanasi, India. Her doctoral thesis was focused on evaluating the effectiveness of specific public diplomacy programs of India and the U.S. Her research interests include public diplomacy and soft power. Currently, she is exploring the possible contribution of Indian political traditions in the study and practice of public diplomacy.

Singh was a Fulbright-Nehru Doctoral Scholar (2016-17) at the School of Communication at American University in Washington, D.C. She holds bachelor's and master's degrees in political science from Banaras Hindu University.
