Talya İşcan is a Turkish-Mexican scholar and PhD candidate in Communication at Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City. She teaches International Relations and Global Politics at the National Autonomous University of Mexico and other Mexican universities. Her research examines public diplomacy, political communication, strategic narratives and soft power across Latin America, Türkiye and Central Asia. In September 2026, she is a visiting research scholar at USC Annenberg working with Nicholas J. Cull.
