Dr. Sanjay Srivastava is Professor of Political Science at Banaras Hindu University,Varanasi, India. He teaches international relations and his research interests include public diplomacy, trade diplomacy, India’s foreign policy, and emerging powers.
Recently, Srivastava was ICCR Chair of Contemporary Indian Studies at Faculty of Oriental Studies, Yerevan State University, Yerevan, Armenia, where he was involved in public diplomacy activities. He delivered lectures on various issues including India’s Foreign Policy, Indian Art, Culture and Civilization and India’s public diplomacy programs. Srivastava previously worked at Dr.H.S.Gour University, Sagar, India. He was also Deputy Coordinator of the Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy at Banaras Hindu University.
Srivastava holds degrees from the University of Allahabad and Jawaharlal Nehru University. He has been visiting professor at several institutions, including the Diplomatic Academy of Armenia (Ministry of External Affairs, Government of Armenia), Centre for Regional Integration and Conflict Studies and Faculty of International Relations at Yerevan State University. He has also been associated with Malviya Centre for Peace Research, Banaras Hindu University.
