India, New Zealand plan joint education council

India and New Zealand have decided to establish a joint education council to carry forward the education cooperation between the two countries. Both the countries have already signed an Education Exchange Programme during Human Resource Development Minister Kapil Sibal's visit to New Zealand.

IBM Sharpens Local IT, Business Skills

IBM has an active programme of citizenship in Ghana and elsewhere in Africa. One of the programmes is IBM’s Corporate Service Corps initiative – a corporate version of the Peace Corps, through which over the past two years IBM has deployed teams of IBM employees to Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania and South Africa to work on projects key to increasing local and national competitiveness.

In the States, we hear of hip-hop projects to keep kids off the streets. In Sana'a, the stakes went up a notch. Hip-hop, the hope was, could keep youth out of al-Qaeda. And the charming and unassuming AJ easily endeared himself to embassy staff, government officials, and NGOs that wanted to support his efforts.

New Indian overseas cultural centre in Seoul

India has taken yet another step in furthering its cultural diplomacy in south-east Asia with a new Indian cultural centre in Seoul. President of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Karan Singh, left for a week-long visit to Seoul where he will inaugurate the centre Thursday, ICCR said in a statement.
