KEEP READINGShaping International Public Opinion
For those awaiting the effects of a Trump administration on U.S. international image, Oklahoma State University professor and CPD Research Fellow Dr. Jami Fullerton has co-edited a volume that could help predict the soft power ramifications to come.
In Shaping International Public Opinion: A Model for Nation Branding and Public Diplomacy, Fullerton and Dr. Alice Kendrick, Marriott Professor of Advertising in the Temerlin Advertising Institute at Southern Methodist University, use original research studies to explore factors such as wine, films, social media, and international educational exchange programs in countries ranging from Cuba to the United States. Notably, they introduce the Model of Country Concept, a first-of-its kind illustration of the hard and soft power factors that influence how publics perceive other countries.
