KEEP READINGPlace Branding: Cities, Regions & Nations
As cities take on a bigger role in foreign affairs, their place branding campaigns have grown more important as well. Regions, cities and individual locations are re-imagining themselves and portraying their own, unique images to the world.
A collection of global place branding campaigns is available in a new book edited by Ahmet Bayraktar and Can Uslay. The book Global Place Branding Campaigns across Cities, Regions, and Nations includes case studies from Cape Town (South Africa), Harare (Zimbabwe) and Los Angeles (United States). The discussions range from how "Game of Thrones" impacted the image of Northern Ireland to the @cityofizmir Instagram project.
The book, in addition to individual chapters, is available for purchase on the IGI Global website.
