A delegation of senior Chinese Naval Officers today visited the Indian Pavilion at the Shanghai Expo.

National treasure No. 1 bronze chariots and horses from northwest China's Shaanxi Province Museum of the Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses of Qinshihuang is presented in the China Pavilion in the World Expo in Shanghai, east China.

There has been plenty of bad news concerning the unimaginative U.S. pavilion at the World Expo in Shanghai. But let me for the moment, share a little good news. Indeed, like many who have visited the pavilion, I couldn’t find any “wow” moments. Still, there are noteworthy highlights, especially when viewed from the vantage point of a Chinese visitor.

Miguelín, the giant baby of Spain Pavilion, held a party today to celebrate Children’s Day with the youngest visitors in Expo. For the celebration, Miguelín is wearing a traditional Chinese ‘dudou’, the typical cloth used in China to cuddle the babies.

Now, a rematch of sorts is occurring in Shanghai — but this time, the competitors carrying their national flags are the architects and designers of hundreds of pavilions at a 184-day marathon of image and commerce, Expo 2010.

President Pratibha Devisingh Patil has called upon Indian community in China to create goodwill and function as a bridge between both the countries. The President said, India has organised a cultural festival of India in China and it has been well received and given the people of China an insight into Indian heritage.
