Two giant pandas from China arrived in Indonesia on Thursday in an act of "panda diplomacy" aimed at celebrating 60 years of bilateral ties. Cai Tao and Hu Chun, both aged seven, arrived from Sichuan province and will be housed at a safari zoo in Bogor, a city near the capital Jakarta. The pandas were lent by Beijing to mark the diplomatic anniversary despite recent tensions between the nations, with a number of clashes between Chinese and Indonesian vessels in the South China Sea.

The UAE government has launched four new strategies to achieve the goals of the UAE Centennial 2071 project to make the country the best in the world. [...] The soft power framework aims to see integrated diplomatic action that takes into account cultural components such as individual identity, heritage, social stability, political climate, culture openness and tolerance.

"I really want to see the Tatras," said Aistė Černauskytė, a political science student from Lithuania, after having laid her eyes on the landscape of Slovakia during her bus trip to Bratislava. Aistė is one of the international students who arrived to spend a semester in Bratislava. She spent 21 hours on the bus from Vilnius, across Poland, right to the Slovak capital. "Central Europe isn't very well-known to me," says Aistė Černauskytė, who appreciates the strategically good location of Bratislava for traveling.

The Army’s First Infantry Division and the Joint Task Force Tawi-Tawi has brought the second batch of selected children from Marawi City to a five-day educational tour in Manila. The five-day activity, dubbed as “Tabak Education Tour 2,” is from Tuesday, September 26, until Saturday, September 30. The children will be brought to selected locations in Manila including a simple meet and greet activity with President Rodrigo Duterte at Malacañang Palace.
