Anna Velikaya is research fellow at the Primakov National Research Institute of World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO), Russian Academy of Sciences.

She graduated from Siberian Omsk State University (2007), where she holds a degree in marketing. She holds an M.A. and Ph.D. from Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO) (2014 thesis, “Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS States”).

She is the co-editor with Greg Simons of "Russia’s Public Diplomacy" (Palgrave Macmillan, 2019). Her current research focuses on public diplomacy, humanitarian policy, U.S. politics in Central Asia.
