Diaspora network ITLG kick starts ‘Women in Leadership Group’
The Irish Technology Leadership Group (ITLG) has launched a new ‘Women in Leadership Group’ to complement its growing network of technology leaders. The objectives of the group will be to create mentoring opportunities for female graduates who are pursuing technology careers, mentor matching for female entrepreneurs and for women who are seeking corporate leadership roles, and to provide support, guidance, and insight for female-led technology start-ups.
Helping hand from diaspora
UK-based Cypriots mulling ways to raise cash for Cyprus' proposed solidarity fund are due to meet next week, the president of a body representing the most significant community of Cypriots outside of the island itself said on Friday. The initiative comes as the island struggles to find funds to meet its side of a bailout deal with the European Union or face the collapse of its financial system. Brussels is demanding Cyprus contribute 5.8 billion euros ($7.5 billion) in return for a 10 billion euro ($13 billion) bailout.

Turkey, Poland to Mark 600th Year of Diplomatic Ties with Events
Turkey and Poland on Thursday signed a "Declaration of Will" for activities to mark the 600th year of diplomatic relations in 2014. A ceremony took place in the Polish capital of Warsaw on Thursday for the declaration. Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu signed the declaration on behalf of Turkey and his Polish counterpart Radoslaw Sikorski signed it on behalf of Poland..."This is an honoring moment for me. Our two countries have good relations in all fields," Davutoglu said.
