The organizers of one of the biggest draws at the Edinburgh festival, the military tattoo, are hoping to expand worldwide, eventually holding the event across Asia, the Middle East and North and South America. [...] The tattoo, which began in 1950 and is a charity, has become a showcase for British forces and their counterparts from around the world and been a sellout for the last two decades, attracting audiences of about 220,000 at the event and 100 million on television.

To move beyond transactional ties, India and Israel must make an effort to encourage cultural connections. This is best done through education, tourism and the arts.

Kids Euro Festival, one of the largest performing arts festivals for children in America, returns to the Washington, DC metro area October 26 to November 6, 2016. The 9th edition of this popular annual festival features free, family-friendly performances, concerts, movies and workshops that provide a flavor of European arts and culture – no passport required!
