Since opening in 1970, von Bartha has exhibited modern and contemporary artists across historically significant movements. Representing over 20 artists and estates, the programme includes contemporary artists in a dialogue with Kinetic art and Concrete art. Working closely with the Salamieh Hospital in Hawarti, Syria, SUPERFLEX has sourced necessary surgical tools which are exhibited within the gallery space.

84% of Japanese Surveyed Say They Are Worried about Trump Administration

A majority of Japanese people — 83.8 percent — are concerned the administration of new U.S. President Donald Trump could create global instability, according to a Kyodo News survey conducted Saturday and Sunday. Only 13.1 percent of the respondents to the nationwide telephone survey said they are not concerned about the administration of Trump, who was sworn in on Jan. 20 and is pushing an “America First” agenda on trade and immigration.

Saudi Female Border Guards Hone Skills in Germany

German police have been training 45 Saudi female border guards as part of a security agreement signed by the interior ministries of both countries. The Saudi General Directorate of Border Guard said in a statement that the participants are learning new security skills such as personal protection, preliminary investigation, identity verification, arrest and inspection, confiscation of seized items.

Brexit Offers Irish Firms an Opportunity to Tap into Nigerian Education

According to a UNESCO report in 2012, South Africa, the US, and Canada are among the most popular destinations for Nigerian students. But they are dwarfed in popularity by the UK with nearly 18,000 Nigerian students annually. The cultural and educational exchange organisation, the British Council, estimated that Nigerians would become the second biggest cohort of foreign students in the UK after Chinese in the coming years, with one MP estimating the number will reach 30,000. That was before the Brexit vote.

Serena Hotels in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the Invitational Golf Championship at the Islamabad Club Golf Course on Saturday. The Tournament was held under the Serena Hotels Sports Diplomacy Initiative and played on the Shot Gun format. [...] Sartaj Aziz said “Sports diplomacy is part of cultural diplomacy which allows people and communities to work together for a greater cause “and also recalled the “mountaineering expedition sent together to various countries promoting message of peace and public diplomacy”.
