‘Fortress Europe is not the answer to migration woes’

It remains to be seen how Europe will solve the many questions posed by continuing migratory flows...But if it wants to keep its “soft power” and “transformational value” as part of efforts to effect change in its neighbourhood, any policy will have to be in line with the EU’s much trumpeted core values and principles.

‘I will pursue a Nigeria agenda’ – Duke

Adaji said the National Troupe has at various times engaged in cultural diplomacy by collaborating with international cultural groups such as when they recently hosted a performance by an Israeli troupe. He told the minister that the troupe has received four invitations from the Republic of Congo, Egypt, Brazil and Germany to represent Nigeria.

Korean language center to open in Indonesia

The two cities reached an agreement for arts and cultural cooperation and exchange in December 2009. Last May, Seoul invited a team of Cia-Cia traditional performers to a local festival. It is considering hosting Cia-Cia teachers for language training in South Korea.

MTN SA scoops Top Brands Award

Earlier this year, MTN was ranked as the only African brand in the BrandFinance Global 500 list... During the 2nd quarter of this year, MTN was recognised as the most socially responsible brand in the country... In the first half of 2011, the MTN brand has been rated as the country’s most valuable brand, according to a league table of both African and South African brands compiled by Brandirectory.
