International Youth Forum 2016: Build a Better World Through the Cultural Perspective

Held on Oct. 9-14 2016 in four traditional villages in Bali, [...] IYF is a part of World Culture Forum 2016 [...] The event will see 173 participants from 39 countries to build an awareness of the importance of a cultural perspective in perceiving social, economic and political issues globally and locally as well as encourage the youth around the world to get involved in building a better society.

'Cooking a Dialogue' in Northwest Indiana

Seventeen Muslim, Christian, and Jewish women visited Northwest Indiana due to the efforts of the Jewish Federation of Northwest Indiana. The “Cooking a Dialogue” program was started to encourage a dialogue between Arab and Jewish women in the Western Galilee region of Israel. They have gotten to know each other on a personal level as well as learn about each other’s culture, customs, and food.

Cultural Bridge through Cinema

A move to share the rich cinematic culture of South Korea, Korean Film Festival 2016 will be held from October 14 to 17 at National Film Corporation Theatre, Colombo 7. Organised by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Korea Foundation in partnership with the National Film Corporation, this is the second consecutive year that the festival is taking place.

Digital Diplomacy a New Way to Solve Problems: Foreign Minister

Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi has emphasized the importance of social media as a tool for diplomats to obtain timely information and to represent Indonesia abroad. "It is impossible for diplomats not to take advantage of social media in this [digital] era," Retno said in her opening speech at the Kompasianival event in South Jakarta on Saturday (08/10).

Latin America Expresses Solidarity with Haiti After Hurricane Matthew

Several governments in Latin America have expressed their solidarity with Haiti and have offered humanitarian aid after Hurricane Matthew caused over 800 deaths and significant material losses in the Caribbean nation. Food, bottled water, mattresses as well as machinery to remove rubble and medical staff form part of the convoys that different Latin American countries have sent to help the island.

Delhi Govt Launches New Tourism Campaign Called 'Dilli Hain Hum' Hoping to Rebrand City

Delhi is getting rebranded in good measure and in a positive way. The new mantra for the national Capital is 'Dilli Hain Hum' which aims at attracting tourists from across the world and make the Delhiites feel proud of their heritage. [...] It will showcase the city in all its vibrancy, from Chandni Chowk's street food and Mandi House's theatre festivals, to South Delhi's plush shopping malls and eco-tourism at Yamuna and Asola Mines biodiversity parks.
