Cuba Sends Additional Doctors to Haiti After Hurricane Matthew

The Cuban government announced today it is sending a medical team to Haiti for the relief of the victims after the devastating hurricane “Matthew”, local media reported. “A brigade of 38 Cuban doctors specialized in disaster situations will leave for Haiti,” said an official note read on Cuban television.

China Seeks Bangladesh Media's Cooperation to Bolster Political, Economic Ties

Xinhua organised the roundtable bringing together a select group of editors and publishers of both countries “to enhance communication and cooperation” between the two media ahead of the President Xi’s “milestone” visit. “We hope that media will play a positive role in enhancing relations between the countries,” said Tuo Zhen, Vice-Minister of the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China’s Central Committee.

A New Golden Decade for Canada-China Relations

In late September, 2016, Premier Li Keqiang paid an official visit to Canada, the first trip by a Chinese premier in a long lapse of 13 years. It was also a reunion for Mr. Li and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau shortly after the latter’s visit to China. "In a developing country, girls are the most excluded group of all and by focussing on getting girls into education and offering them an adult life beyond the domestic, they can effect enormous change in their own countries and communities,”
