IIFA 2016 to Become Bigger and Better!

The International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) announced the 17th edition of the most spectacular celebration of Indian Cinema worldwide that will occur in the capital city of Madrid, Spain from June 23-26, 2016. This year, the IIFA Rocks stage will include noted music director-composer-singer Pritam who is performing with Spanish artistes as a once-in-a-lifetime on-stage production.

Trade Minister Launches Diplomatic Fair

Dr Ekwow Spio-Garbrah, the Minister of Trade and Industry, on Wednesday launched the 2016 Diplomatic Fair and reminded African countries on the need to partner diplomatic missions to develop their economies. [...] Speaking at the launch in Accra, Mr Spio-Garbrah said the idea of the Diplomatic Fair should also allow Ghanaian businesses to enquire from embassies that would participate about how they could assist the local businesses to operate in their countries.

KBTC to Broadcast NHK World’s Newsline and Asia Insight

KBTC will broadcast a special week of Japan’s English language news program, NHK Newsline, at 6pm May 23rd through May 27th. In addition to headlines from around the globe, this 30-minute news program will include news and analysis on location from the 42nd G7 Summit in Ise-Shima, Japan. The Ise-Shima Summit is the first G7 Summit to be convened in Asia since the summit in Toyako, Hokkaido eight years ago.

Using Hip-Hop to Resolve Global Conflict

Hip-hop DJs, MCs, beatmakers and dancers from around the world descended on a hotel conference room in Washington, D.C., this spring to learn how to turn their high-energy musical art into tools for empowerment, entrepreneurship and conflict resolution. The program is called Next Level, which teaches “hip-hop diplomacy” and is sponsored by the Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the University of North Carolina’s music department.

Kenya Voted Best Tourist, Trade Hub in Dubai Fete

Kenya has been recognized for its aggressive campaign to position itself as the best destination for trade, tourism and investment through its initiative "Make it Kenya". The country received the Best Place or Nation Brand [...] in Dubai. The award follows extensive campaign by Brand Kenya that was initiated to revive the image of the country following several terror attacks that kept away investors and tourists therefore affecting the country's economy.
