But today an op-ed appeared which made it quite clear that anybody who messes with China’s dignity should expect a flaming bag of cat hurled in the general direction of their front door sometime in the very near future....This is China at its soft power worst, scoring goals in its own net and making it exponentially harder to convince the rest of the world that the country is being run by grown-ups.

Namibia: Nation ‘Can Never Be a McDonald’s’

NAMIBIA must change its country brand, currently flawed with stereotypes, narrow perceptions and cliches, to a bold, multi-layered one which will allow it to compete on a global stage. "Namibia's brand can never be a brand like KFC or McDonald's," Gordon Cook of the National Brand Navigator for South African brand leadership school Vega said at the annual general meeting of Team Namibia on Wednesday.

Polish embassy opens cultural centre in India

"There is not too much awareness about Polish culture in India or the other way round. We now hope to change that by creating awareness about both the cultures in the other country," said Jerzy Pomianowski, deputy minister of foreign affairs of the republic of Poland, while inaugurating the Polish Institute in New Delhi last week.

Israel's Facebook page in India ranks in top three foreign country pages. The Israel in India Facebook page, launched by the Embassy of Israel in August 2010, has received almost 20,000 'likes', a figure surpassed only by the pages of the US and the UK.
