North Korean propaganda has emerged on popular Internet social media sites. It is not for domestic consumption as virtually no North Korean has Internet access. Rather it is targeted at other countries, especially South Korea.

India, South Africa to team up on HIV vaccine research

India and South Africa will launch a joint research project on basic science and vaccines for HIV strains common to both countries. The project was formally approved by the governments of both countries last spring and is expected to be launched by the end of 2010.

U.S. Ambassador Lauds ‘Useful’ Armenian-American Community Tour

U.S. Ambassador to Armenia Marie Yovanovitch has described her latest meetings with members of the Armenian-American community as "useful." Yovanovitch made a similar tour a year ago, as her predecessors had done before. The diplomat's itinerary this year included Philadelphia, Detroit, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Google to bring Dead Sea Scrolls online

The Dead Sea Scrolls, among the world's most important, mysterious and tightly restricted archaeological treasures, are about to get Googled. The technology giant and Israel announced Tuesday that they are teaming up to give researchers and the public the first comprehensive and searchable database of the scrolls - a 2,000-year-old collection of Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek documents that shed light on Judaism during biblical times and the origins of Christianity.

Planned Mosque Sparks Controversy in Russia

The leaders of Moscow's 1.5 million strong Muslim community say they desperately need more places of worship. But a plan to build a new mosque has run into local opposition which is being fuelled by nationalists calling for a "clean Moscow" without Muslims and foreigners.

Hillary eyes technology driven diplomacy

HILLARY Clinton wants to change the face of diplomacy, and she is calling on all Americans to help her do it. The US Secretary of State spoke before hundreds in San Francisco on Friday, sponsored by the Commonwealth Club, to share her efforts at bolstering US foreign relations and her vision of expanding US diplomacy using technology and other means.
